Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CTF) Policy
1. Source of Funds
Support is accepted only through regulated and licensed payment service providers; direct cash support is not accepted. Proof of the source of funds may be requested for support exceeding US$5,000, at the organization's discretion.
2. Nature of Disbursement and the Fundamental Difference from the Grant Model
Unlike grant-based funding models, Tasharuky for Children's funds are not transferred to any external entity, account, or "implementing partner." Disbursement is managed entirely internally through the operations of the organization's own direct field team (salaries, program purchases, field logistics), with full documentation of every field expenditure and its reconciliation against supporting documents.
3. Vetting of Field Staff and Volunteers
Field team members undergo basic screening that includes a criminal background check (or local equivalent), verification of personal and professional references, and a review of any prior work history with children, prior to engagement or volunteer onboarding, in line with compliance and protection obligations.
4. Geographic Scope
Tasharuky for Children commits to screening relevant international sanctions and denial lists (such as the U.S. Treasury's OFAC lists) before beginning operations in any new country or engaging with any new entity, and the list of countries in which the organization actually operates is updated periodically on the official website.
5. Record Retention
Support and field disbursement records are retained for 7 years, in line with legal and accounting obligations.
6. Reporting Channel
Any suspicion related to money laundering or terrorist financing (AML/CFT) may be reported via info@tasharuky.org.
7. Review
This policy is subject to periodic review at least annually by management and legal counsel.
